We are pleased to announce that Ikze Cho, a German lawyer, joined HANYANG International as a Foreign Legal Consultant.
Mr. Cho studied law as a scholarship holder of German Friedrich Ebert foundation during his entire period of studies in Augsburg from 1989 to 1994.
Admitted to the German bar in 2002, he started his legal career with one of the leading German IP law firms Bardehle Pagenberg & Partners in Munich. He specializes in litigation on patent and employee invention matters. He litigated cases before the German patent court in the areas of mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals and bio-technology.
Since 2005, he has been working as a foreign legal consultant(FLC) in Korea. He is also active in advising on patent infringement cases where Germany is the venue, and consulting German clients in their license agreements and disputes with Korean partners, particularly regarding joint-venture matters.
Ikze Cho is also interested in the practical and academic aspects of international commercialization of technical inventions and publishes regularly on these issues. He translated the renowned German contract book, “License Agreements” in Korean with his own legal annotations. In addition to these activities he also lectured at a law school and is currently working on his own doctorate thesis on “Patent Infringement Litigation in Europe.”
